About the role

Sierra is seeking an Agent Strategist to own the development and deployment of AI agents for retail customers. This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate those needs into effective AI solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the entire agent development lifecycle, from initial scope to production launch and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with enterprise leaders to shape AI strategies that drive business outcomes.
  • Partner with customer teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure the agent builds stays on track for launch.
  • Surface unmet needs from customer interactions and feed them back to research and platform teams.
  • Lead example projects such as launching order management agents, shopping agents, in-store support agents, booking agents, and campaign agents.

Requirements

  • Customer obsession: Understanding and meeting the needs of retail customers.
  • Communication: Clear and persuasive communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strategic problem-solving: Analyzing complex problems and adapting quickly to changes.
  • Technical aptitude: Comfortable with technical concepts and able to follow engineering tradeoffs.
  • Ownership and delivery: Ability to manage multiple complex projects and deliver results.
  • Genuine interest in Financial Services and improving the end customer experience.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • An MBA or comparable experience at the intersection of technology and business.

Skills

  • Experience building or deploying AI/LLM agents in production.
  • Hands-on experience with eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, and prompt engineering.
  • Comfortable working with technical concepts and systems architecture.
