About the role

The Strategic Student Program (SSP) at Siemens Industry Software Inc. is designed to empower students to become the next leaders of the company. This program recruits students for internships starting in the Fall of 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within an Agile Software Development Team, working alongside experienced members who will provide guidance, training, and daily support.
  • Participate in the software development life cycle, including testing, validation, and debugging.
  • Contribute to quality assurance efforts to meet customer expectations and ensure compliance with design and implementation requirements.
  • Aid in identifying and resolving issues, implementing test cases, and verifying software functionality.
  • Engage in continuous learning and skill development as part of the engineering team.
  • Gain hands-on experience in software quality assurance within a supportive and collaborative team.
  • Work with cutting-edge technology and tools in a dynamic, Agile development environment.
  • Engage in opportunities for mentorship and professional growth as you contribute to real-world projects.
  • Contribute to products that impact industries and society as a whole.
  • Build a foundation for a successful career in software engineering.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a university student (undergraduate or graduate) in their Sophomore or Junior year.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Available to work full-time starting Fall 2026 and rotating every other semester.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship by the company.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • At least a sophomore-level student or above in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program.
  • Strong educational background and technical skills aligned with the position's requirements.
  • A passion for growth and a commitment to achieving excellence as an engineer.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen interest in software development.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is 18 - 50 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
