Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Purpose & Scope

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist plays a critical role in advancing VHC Health’s supply chain performance through data-driven sourcing, procurement optimization, and financial analysis. Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager, this position leverages advanced analytical and Excel-based modeling skills to evaluate spend patterns, identify cost-saving opportunities, and present data-driven recommendations to leadership. The Specialist works in concert with multiple departments across VHC Health to maximize value achieved through supplier contracts and relationships. This role combines technical proficiency, strategic thinking, and business acumen to ensure a cost-effective, efficient, and transparent supply chain that contributes to operational excellence and high-quality patient care. The Specialist independently manages large datasets, performs in-depth analyses, and develops executive-level reports that inform sourcing and procurement strategies across the organization.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
• Additional experience considered in lieu of education requirement.

Experience

• Three to five (3-5) years Supply Chain Management.
• Three to five (3-5) years of Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Data Analytics required.

Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities

• Expert-level Excel proficiency including pivot tables, Power Query, VBA macros, and advanced data modeling.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to executive audiences.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiation, cost analysis, and strategic sourcing.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships across departments.

Compensation
