About the role

The Strategic Sourcing Manager for IT plays a crucial role in driving business results by partnering with various departments to manage sourcing events, contracts, and the procure-to-pay process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, and competitive bids
  • Establish contracts and relationships with new suppliers
  • Manage renewals and extensions with existing suppliers
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to navigate the procure-to-pay process
  • Execute sourcing strategies to enhance value, revenue, and cost reduction
  • Lead supplier selection, contract negotiation, and contracting process
  • Provide stakeholders with best-in-class service throughout the sourcing process
  • Act as liaison between Staples legal, risk, privacy, and cyber security teams and suppliers

  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization and suppliers
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to take initiative and manage tasks independently
  • Understanding of procurement protocols and processes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and sourcing
  • Proficiency in procurement systems such as Coupa
  • Demonstrated ability to generate cost reduction savings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technology role
  • Masters Degree in related field

Pay

Schedule

The role offers a flexible schedule with 22 days of PTO and 7 observed paid holidays.
