Strategic Sourcing Category Manager

About The Position

Title: Regional Sourcing Manager – North America
Reports to: Sourcing Director
Location: Material Processing location – Coalville, England

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct material regional spend.
• Gather, analyze, and document business unit and functional requirements and interests.
• Act as the liaison between the MP businesses and our global supply base across multiple time zones.
• Conduct professional RFQ events, deploy advanced sourcing techniques to improve material cost.
• Utilize a systematic sourcing process to reduce the total cost of ownership and increase overall value.
• Drive continuous process improvements efforts.
• Maintain conduct consistent with company policy, operating procedures, accepted practices and applicable laws.

Key Skills

• Strong procurement and supplier chain track record in a global manufacturing organization (preferably heavy construction equipment industry).
• Degree educated in a Supply Chain, Procurement or Engineering discipline, MBA or equivalent experience.
• Relevant Global Sourcing experience in global organization.
• Excellent stakeholder management involving strong collaboration with sites and category teams.
• Solid commercial understanding of should cost models, ability to analyze supplier financial information.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• High level or organization and detail oriented & ability to work independently.
• Ability to travel internationally – up to 30%.
