About the Role

Will serve as a recognized Strategic Sourcing Category subject matter expert (SME) for propane and diesel, overseeing direct and indirect spend ranging from $135M to $265M. Contribute to achieving team annual savings by leading sourcing negotiation strategies and collaborating cross-functionally to align stakeholders and business units.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic sourcing and contract negotiation for propane and diesel commodities, optimizing total cost of ownership while ensuring supply continuity.
Develop and execute energy procurement strategies using market intelligence, price forecasting, hedging principles, and supplier risk assessments to minimize cost volatility and operational risk.
Manage supplier relationships, RFP processes, contract renewals, and performance metrics for providers, ensuring compliance with commercial terms, regulatory requirements, and sustainability objectives.
Partner with operations, finance, and facilities teams to forecast energy demand, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve energy procurement efficiency across multiple sites.
Analyze large data sets, identify trends and market gaps, implement strategic goals aligned with organizational objectives, and create category plans.
Provide daily, weekly, and monthly analyses to business partners and senior leadership.
Communicate with business partners on key objectives, improvement projects, and advanced customer service levels to improve product flows and minimize supply disruptions.
Collaborate with the Legal team on contract revisions and approvals.
Direct and enforce all safety policies and standards.
Travel to engage directly with suppliers, manage projects and trials at company facilities, and attend relevant industry expos or shows for professional development and industry insight.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a minimum of 4 years' relevant procurement and negotiation experience.
3–5 years' relevant work experience.
Project management and contract knowledge/experience.
Proficiency in analytics and data management.
Experience with SQL, Access, Excel, Oracle, SAP, and/or other ERP software.
Experience managing spend oversight ranging from $135M to $265M across multiple categories.
