Strategic Pursuits Task Order Bid Manager - AWS US Department of War Markets, US Strategic Pursuit Team
About the role
The US Strategic Pursuits Team (SPT) is seeking a Strategic Pursuits Task Order Bid Manager—the central orchestrator for tracking, shaping, and winning task orders on the Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability (JWCC) contract vehicle and its successor contract. JWCC is how the Department of War (DoW) buys cloud at scale, and task order activity is the lifeblood of the program.
Responsibilities
- Track and manage the pipeline of forecasted JWCC task orders across the DoW enterprise, maintaining real-time visibility into upcoming opportunities and ensuring the team is postured to respond
- Conduct capture analysis on forecasted TOs: assess requirements documents, evaluate the competitive landscape, identify gaps between customer needs and current AWS vehicle offerings, and recommend positioning strategies
- Cook up bid/proposal activities for JWCC task orders—manage timelines, comply with requirements, and gather stakeholder inputs to deliver winning responses on schedule
- Serve as the central coordination point between DoW Strategic Pursuits, Sales teams, the Federal Delivery Organization (AWS JWCC PMO), and customers—ensure alignment on priorities, timing, and strategy for each pursuit
- Support shaping activities by working with Sales and Solutions Architects to educate customers on AWS capabilities and influence requirements before formal solicitation
- Develop and maintain task order tracking tools, dashboards, and reporting to provide leadership with visibility into pipeline health, bid status, and pursuit investment decisions
- Analyze patterns in task order activity to identify trends, forecast demand, and inform strategic decisions about vehicle offerings and go-to-market approach
- Contribute directly to proposal writing, win theme development, pricing strategy, and technical solution narratives for JWCC task order responses
- Coordinate Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and other requests for government information to support the DoW organization’s strategic goals
- Bring an AI-first mindset to how you work—leveraging AI tools to research requirements, analyze competitive trends, accelerate content development, and build tracking systems that scale
