Strategic Projects Lead, Generative AI

Job Summary

The Strategic Projects Lead (SPL) role at Scale’s Generative AI business unit involves driving significant revenue growth through cross-functional project leadership, enhancing products, and managing data labeling operations. The role demands a strong entrepreneurial mindset, technical acumen, and the ability to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional projects with diverse stakeholders (Engineering + Ops + Go-to-Market)
• Partner with product and engineering teams to enhance products to meet strategic customer needs and initiatives
• Own the execution of data labeling operations for strategic projects
• Give regular progress updates to Scale’s executive team
• Work on impactful problems that lead to accelerated career progression

Requirements

• Strong technical background (degree in computer science preferred, must have data analytics skills using SQL or Python)
• 2+ years of experience leading a team, developing product or operational processes, or as a Software Engineer Intern (SWE)
• Strong problem-solving capabilities (experience with operational challenges or consulting is a plus)
• Entrepreneurial experience and mindset (excited about building things from scratch)

Qualifications

• Passionate about generative AI and its potential impact
• Experience with AI and machine learning concepts
• Understanding of data labeling and its importance in AI development

Benefits

Compensation packages at Scale for eligible roles include base salary, equity, and benefits. The base salary range for this full-time position in San Francisco, New York, and Seattle is $112,000 - $190,000 USD. Additional benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, a learning and development stipend, and generous paid time off. This role may also be eligible for additional benefits such as a commuter stipend.
