About the role

Lead exceptional student motivation, development, and life-skill mastery at Alpha's most demanding campuses.

Responsibilities

  • Congducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching using Coachbot analytics and student performance data to identify barriers, establish ambitious targets, and maintain accountability for execution
  • Facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery by drawing on credible narratives from your own elite background, then evaluating mastery via Alpha's Test2Pass system
  • Establishing cultural expectations each morning with focused kickoff sessions that reinforce high-performance standards campus-wide
  • Monitoring student progress continuously and adapting coaching approaches based on data rather than intuition
  • Cultivating trusted mentor relationships with students and their families through consistent high standards and documented motivation strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of one documented instance of exceptional achievement in a highly selective, internationally recognized field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in student coaching, youth mentoring, athletic coaching, or leadership positions where you demonstrably elevated others' performance
  • Able to work on-site at an Alpha campus in New York City, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Santa Barbara, CA (relocation assistance provided)

Qualifications

  • History in elite competitive athletics (Division 1 varsity, national team representation, or professional competition) with coaching or mentoring experience for younger athletes
  • Background in high-accountability sectors such as management consulting, investment banking, or military leadership
  • Demonstrated youth development through mentoring in non-academic contexts (community organizations, after-school initiatives, sports camps)
  • Ease presenting to and earning trust from high-expectation families investing in premium private education

Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with technology-driven learning platforms

Pay

$75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
