Strategic Partner Marketing Manager - Americas Resellers
About the Role
Extreme Networks is seeking a Strategic Partners Marketing Manager to lead strategic partner marketing across the Americas reseller ecosystem, with a primary focus on US Nationals and other high-potential reseller relationships. This role centers on a smaller set of nationally strategic partner relationships, joint business plans, MDF investment strategy, and senior stakeholder influence.
The successful candidate will own the marketing relationship with assigned strategic partners, collaborate closely with Channel Sales and Partner Account Managers, and bring a proactive perspective on investment priorities, partner readiness, and joint activity design to drive measurable business outcomes. Unlike broader regional partner marketing roles, this position requires deeper account-level ownership, strategic investment judgment, and accountability for tailored partner growth motions.
Responsibilities
- Own strategic partner marketing plans: Lead the development and execution of annual and 6-month partner marketing plans aligned with joint business priorities, partner capabilities, Channel Sales objectives, Platform ONE adoption, net-new logo growth, vertical focus areas, seller activation, and measurable pipeline or revenue outcomes.
- Shape partner investment strategy and MDF discipline: Manage MDF strategy, allocation, tracking, and reporting. Shift investment decisions from reactive spending to proactive, data-driven choices based on partner readiness, expected impact, and ROI indicators.
- Lead the marketing relationship with strategic partners: Engage regularly with partner marketing contacts, PAMs, and sales leaders to influence partner plans, introduce Extreme-led ideas, secure buy-in, and ensure active partner support and execution.
- Drive bespoke demand generation and ABM motions: Design and execute strategic partner campaigns (ABM, digital, social, seller-led, event-based, vertical) leveraging partner access to target accounts, sellers, or customer segments. Ensure campaigns include clear audiences, follow-up plans, and performance reporting.
- Activate partner sellers and technical communities: Collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, and partner stakeholders to create seller activation, technical enablement, and education initiatives that improve mindshare and partner productivity.
- Build partner advocacy and market presence: Develop partner-facing, customer-facing, and internal materials (e.g., advocacy pages, case studies, playbooks, webinars, executive briefings) to enhance Extreme’s market presence through and with strategic partners.
- Use data to steer partner strategy: Monitor partner performance, MDF spend, funnel creation, pipeline influence, new logo activity, and campaign engagement. Use insights to recommend investment adjustments or redesigns.
- Represent strategic partners internally: Provide a commercially grounded view of assigned partners in internal reviews, explaining opportunity, investment rationale, risks, and results to inform leadership decisions.
- Collaborate across distributor, regional, and field motions: Align strategic partner plans with distributor investments, regional priorities, field marketing, and broader demand generation efforts while maintaining bespoke requirements.
- Improve partner marketing operating standards: Define best practices for strategic partner marketing, including readiness criteria, partner contribution expectations, lead capture standards, and campaign follow-up discipline.
- Support strategic reseller initiatives: Contribute to high-impact reseller activities beyond assigned accounts when aligned with Americas Channel priorities or executive stakeholder needs.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in channel, field, regional, partner, demand generation, or B2B technology marketing.
- Experience in networking, SaaS, infrastructure, VAR, MSP, SI, reseller, or distribution ecosystems is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to build and execute strategic partner marketing plans connecting partner priorities, sales goals, marketing tactics, MDF investment, and measurable business outcomes.
- Strong commercial judgment and confidence to challenge or redirect partner activity when outcomes, readiness, or follow-up plans are unclear.
- Experience managing MDF, co-marketing investments, joint campaigns, partner events, ABM, seller activation, partner enablement, or account-based growth programs.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders, including Channel Sales leaders, PAMs, partner marketing contacts, and internal marketing teams.
- Creative and commercially minded, with the ability to develop practical, differentiated partner ideas grounded in clear audiences, outcomes, and measures.
- Metrics-aware, comfortable connecting marketing activity to pipeline influence, funnel creation, conversion, bookings, ROI, and partner relationship health.

- Project management discipline, attention to detail, and ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, Sigma, PRM/MDF platforms, partner portals, Microsoft 365, and AI-assisted productivity tools is desirable.
- Growth mindset, resilience, and curiosity to apply structure, data, and creativity to partners of varying maturity and capability.
