Strategic Negotiator, AWS Legal

About the role

The AWS Strategic Negotiator will lead negotiations of complex cloud services agreements with strategic enterprise customers. This role involves partnering with GDSP to drive customer negotiations, develop internal strategy, craft proposals, draft bespoke contractual provisions, and collaborate with internal stakeholder groups and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Independently leading high-stakes, competitive, time-intensive negotiations with enterprise customers
• Evaluating and drafting custom contract terms
• Influencing and earning trust with enterprise customers
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to resolve customer issues and minimize risk to AWS

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 5+ years of multi-million dollar contract negotiation experience
• 5+ years of drafting and negotiating the legal terms in a broad range of standard commercial contracts
• Experience with complex commercial/legal concepts and drafting

Qualifications

• Experience practicing as legal counsel, either in-house or with a law firm
• Experience independently leading negotiations of complex sell-side business-to-business enterprise technology contracts involving AI, SaaS, IaaS, or cloud computing
• Ability to advise business teams on deal and negotiation strategy and legal and commercial risk
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to provide oversight, guidance and management to multiple projects and deals at once, and follow through and meet deadlines
• High degree of independence, initiative, decisiveness, and creative thinking

Pay

$76,000.00 - $133,000.00 USD annually
