Key job responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements including hosted services agreements, software licensing agreements, professional services agreements, amendments, and non-disclosure agreements
  • Provide day-to-day legal counsel to business clients on transactions, processes, and communications, helping them navigate complex commercial relationships
  • Identify and implement process improvements across the legal team to enhance efficiency and consistency in handling commercial matters
  • Manage multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve contract issues and support successful transaction outcomes

About the team

We are the Enterprise Tech Sourcing Legal team within AWS Products Legal, and we support business teams across Amazon and AWS as they pursue technology transactions, product developments, and launches. Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts
  • 2+ years of contracts management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years of in-house legal experience
  • Ability to simplify legal and contracting processes
