Associate Corporate Counsel, AWS Legal

About the role

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Legal team is looking for a talented attorney to support AWS, Amazon's dynamic and rapidly growing business at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry. This Associate Corporate Counsel will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and will support AWS's specialist sales, business development, and partner network teams.

Responsibilities

• Support AWS’s specialist sales, business development, and partner network teams with strategic legal insights on various sales and business development initiatives
• Collaborate cross-functionally to launch and support sales programs and initiatives
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure legal alignment with business objectives
• Negotiate and draft complex enterprise and technology agreements across diverse business contexts
• Provide comprehensive legal counsel on policy, regulatory, and compliance matters related to cloud computing and technology services

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-bar admission legal experience
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
• Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
• Experience working cross-functionally across several teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in web services/cloud computing, software licensing, telecommunications or equivalent
• A mix of corporate law firm and in-house work experience
• Must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
