Corporate Counsel, AWS Legal

About the role

Amazon's Legal Department is seeking a Corporate Counsel to support AWS's Data Center Operations team. This role involves working closely with the Data Center Operations team, providing legal advice, contributing to projects, negotiating contracts, and addressing vendor issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day counseling to AWS's Data Center Operations team
• Contribute to projects related to AWS's Data Center Operations
• Negotiate contracts and address vendor issues
• Work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote team environment
• Support AWS's Data Center Operations team in compliance with legal requirements across multiple jurisdictions

Requirements

• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
• 5+ years of legal practice as an attorney

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, outsourcing, telecommunications, cloud computing services
• Experience in private practice or in-house experience at a technology company
• Experience working independently and collaborating effectively in a remote team environment

Pay

Base salary range: $153,900.00 - $208,200.00 USD annually
