The Strategic Growth Leader is responsible for defining and executing the growth strategy for focus applications within Industrial & Commercial, serving as the central point of alignment between Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and leadership. Acting as the voice of the market, this role translates customer insights, industry trends, and competitive intelligence into growth priorities that shape product development, guide marketing investments, and drive go-to-market strategies. Through cross-functional leadership and influence, the Strategic Growth Leader ensures organizational resources are focused on the highest-value opportunities to accelerate revenue growth, strengthen market position, and deliver long-term business success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies informed by customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
- Serve as the strategic leader and subject matter authority for the assigned vertical market.
- Identify and prioritize growth opportunities that expand revenue, market share, and customer engagement.
- Partner with Product Management to influence product roadmaps, innovation priorities, and portfolio strategy.
- Provide market-based recommendations that guide commercial, operational, and investment decisions.
- Align Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and business leadership around vertical growth priorities and objectives.
- Enable sales teams with market insights, application expertise, and strategic guidance to accelerate growth.
- Partner with Marketing to develop value propositions, demand generation programs, and product launch strategies.
- Serve as the voice of the market by communicating customer feedback, competitive dynamics, and emerging trends.
- Build strategic customer and industry relationships to strengthen market position and uncover new growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred in marketing, engineering, or business focus subject area.
- Ideally 10+ years of outside sales, business development, marketing, or program management experience in electrical distribution in the construction industry.
- Subject matter expertise in the commercial and industrial space.
- Able to navigate matrix organizations and influence decision makers.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and leading cross-functional direct and indirect teams.
- Hands-on, high-energy approach in engaging with different teams to implement a strategic plan with a project management, timeline-oriented mindset.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations and proposals in a clear and compelling manner.
- Ability to work hybrid from our Anoka, MN HQ.
- Normal travel will be 30-40% but could be up to 60%, at times.

Pay
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Compensation Range: $123,500.00 - $229,500.00. Depending on the position offered, the employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
