Essential Functions
- Cook up long-term forecasts and strategies aligned with operational objectives under the guidance of the Corporate Controller.
- Maintain relationships with banking partners and assist the Capital Assets Finance Manager.
- Support the accounting team with ad-hoc month-end journal entries.
- Lead the execution of external audits and report progress to the Corporate Controller.
- Aid in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and analyze records and reports.
- Prepare and analyze schedules for external audits.
- Answer auditors' questions.
- Prepare and analyze records and reports.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Book monthly activity for related entities.
Supervisory Requirements
- Manage one staff analyst post-hire.
Physical Demands
- Sit for long periods of time at a desk in front of a computer screen.
- Occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
- Frequently stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Clerical, office setting.
- Routine use of standard office equipment including computers, phones, and photocopiers.
- Reports to the Tampa regional office located at 5405 Cypress Center Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
Position Type & Expected Hours of Work
- Full-time exempt position.
- May require long hours and occasional travel (20-30%) to project sites for project audits.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance or a comparable business administration degree.
- Master’s degree in accounting, business, or finance preferred.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of construction experience preferred.
- Over 5 years of work experience in the heavy civil construction industry may waive the certification requirement.
- Certification in one of the following disciplines: CPA, CCIFP, CFA, CMA.
