Strategic Finance Manager

About the role

We're looking for a Strategic Finance Manager to join our finance team. This role is crucial for driving budgeting, forecasting, hiring, GTM, and capital decisions, and providing insights to help us scale.

What You'll Do

• Build, maintain, and improve financial models supporting budgeting, forecasting, and the long-range plan.
• Own recurring reporting and analysis: monthly and quarterly variance, KPI tracking, and dashboards for leadership.
• Support the headcount and hiring plan, keeping the capacity model current as the company grows.
• Run GTM and funnel analytics: pipeline-to-bookings conversion, marketing ROI, CAC, payback, retention, and unit economics.
• Build analyses that inform capital and resource decisions, and help pressure-test assumptions.
• Prepare board and investor materials, presenting data clearly and accurately.
• Support the rollout of our FP&A tooling and ensure data integrity.
• Take on analysis across the business as questions arise, including work outside a strict strategic finance lane.

What You'll Bring

• A foundation in investment banking and private equity, with strong financial modeling skills.
• Experience with Excel, building driver-based models that answer specific questions.
• A reliable, low-ego approach to delivering results independently.
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to prioritize key questions in a high-paced environment.
• Familiarity with SaaS metrics and unit economics, including retention, CAC, payback, and LTV/CAC.
• Clear communication skills, able to present complex analyses simply and make the takeaway obvious.
• Experience in a SaaS, fintech, payments, or tax company, and fluency with SQL and BI tools.
• Hands-on experience with FP&A or ERP tooling (NetSuite, Pigment, Anaplan, or similar).

Compensation Range

$140K - $165K
