Strategic Finance Manager
About the role
As Arc's Strategic Finance Manager you will own strategic finance and FP&A across the company. That means owning our financial models and forecasts, driving reporting that goes directly to our CEO and Board, and running our budgeting and planning processes. This role will report to the Director of Finance. We're looking for someone fired up by the mission and ready to build. You'll thrive here if you move fast, take ownership, and care about the details. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Los Angeles headquarters.
What You'll Do
- Building and owning Arc's operating model, forecasts, and long-range plan across our Consumer, Commercial, and Defense segments
- Creating board materials, investor updates, and monthly internal reporting that goes directly to our CEO and Board
- Leading the annual budget and quarterly re-forecasts end to end, from target-setting through variance analysis
- Partnering with leaders across engineering, production, and sales to turn operating plans into financial outcomes and guide pricing, hiring, and capital allocation decisions
- Designing scalable, AI-enabled reporting and planning workflows as the first dedicated hire on our strategic finance team
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years in investment banking, strategic finance, or FP&A at a high-growth company
- Proficiency with advanced financial modeling in Excel and building clear, executive-ready presentations
- Background in corporate finance fundamentals, with fluency connecting operational drivers to three-statement forecasts and telling the story behind the numbers
- Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguity, manage multiple workstreams, and sweat the details under tight deadlines
Bonus Qualifications
- Solid accounting foundation (GAAP fluency, close experience) with willingness to support month-end close alongside the accounting team
- Passion for using AI tools to automate workflows and multiply your output
- Experience in hard tech, manufacturing, marine, automotive, or aerospace and defense
- Comfortable pushing at a fast but sustainable pace
- Enthusiasm for boating and the water
