What You'll Do

  • Serve as the technical lead for MSP's most strategic lubricant customers.
  • Design and implement comprehensive lubrication and equipment reliability programs.
  • Lead Redlist implementation, asset mapping, and lubrication program integration.
  • Develop oil sampling strategies, interpret laboratory results, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Partner with Sales Representatives on complex customer opportunities by providing technical expertise during customer meetings and site visits.
  • Train and coach sales teams on selling complete lubrication and reliability solutions—not simply lubricant products.
  • Collaborate with Operations Excellence to ensure successful implementation and long-term program performance.
  • Support growth within petrochemical, manufacturing, transportation, drilling, fracking, and other industrial markets.
  • Build standardized lubrication program templates that can be deployed across new customers and acquisitions.
  • Mentor future technical specialists and help grow MSP's lubrication expertise.

What We're Looking For

  • We're seeking someone with a strong combination of technical expertise and leadership.
  • Ideal candidates will have:
    • 3+ years of experience in industrial lubrication, machinery reliability, maintenance, or condition monitoring.
    • Experience leading programs, projects, teams, or technical initiatives.
    • Background working in industrial manufacturing, petrochemical, commercial or industrial oil & gas, transportation, mining, power generation, or similar industries.
    • Strong understanding of:
      • Industrial lubricants
      • Oil analysis
      • Contamination control
      • Preventive and predictive maintenance
      • Equipment reliability
    • Experience supporting consultative or technical sales efforts.
    • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
    • Experience working with major lubricant manufacturers and leading suppliers is highly preferred.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Certified Lubrication Specialist (CLS)
    • Machinery Lubricant Technician (MLT)
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent industry experience)
    • Experience with Redlist, asset mapping, CMMS, or other reliability software
    • Additional reliability or condition monitoring certifications are a plus

    Travel

    This position requires approximately 25–40% travel throughout MSP's operating regions.
