Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to support commercial and data center contractor accounts as part of the Data Center & Construction Segment Sales team. This is a remote role based in the US, with approximately 50% travel.

About the Role

The Strategic Account Manager is a consultative, technical sales professional responsible for supporting key national electrical contractor accounts and end users serving the commercial, industrial, and data center verticals. The role requires strong technical and commercial skills, with experience in electrical power distribution and mechanical support systems. The primary function is to drive specification preference of Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds and B-Line series products while providing technical leadership and collaboration with key contractor and end customer accounts, as well as the GEIS and NAS Sales and Application Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Account Leadership:
    • Serve as key account lead for large national contractor partners (e.g., Cupertino, Faith Technologies, Rosendin, MMR) and end users as needed.
    • Align sales activities and focus on key contractors across the national footprint.
    • Partner with rep agencies and channel partners to strengthen end user and contractor engagement.
    • Guide strategic account procurement, design, and project management teams to appropriate Crouse-Hinds or B-Line regional resources for post-order project support.
  • Technical Sales Support:
    • Lead technical pre-sale application and support for Crouse-Hinds and B-Line series products with contractors, end users, and consulting firms in assigned sales geographies.
    • Provide technical application support on target projects, including drawing reviews, sales pursuit strategies, and stakeholder engagement in design and specification of electrical infrastructure systems.
    • Assist customers with design-build opportunities, specification reviews, lighting audits, and other consultative activities.
  • Technical Training:
    • Provide strategic technical leadership and mentoring to sales teams across North American regions.
    • Conduct product seminars and training on Crouse-Hinds and B-Line series products for consultants, specifiers, end users, channel partners, and sales engineers.
  • Product Strategy:
    • Collaborate with product lines to develop tools and literature focused on system designers.
    • Provide voice-of-customer input to drive product development.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
    • Minimum seven (7) years of electrical sales and/or electrical engineering experience.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Eaton will not consider applicants requiring employment immigration sponsorship for this position.
  • Preferred:
    • 10 years of related sales experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
    • Knowledge of Eaton B-Line and Crouse-Hinds product and service offerings.

Skills

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in electrical infrastructure solutions, with deep proficiency across the Crouse-Hinds and B-Line portfolio, including cable tray, cable bus, and LED lighting. You are highly effective at influencing project outcomes by developing and reviewing technical specifications that position Eaton competitively. The role requires exceptional communication, presentation, and training capabilities, enabling engagement with stakeholders at all levels. You are a proactive, self-directed problem solver who delivers creative solutions to complex technical challenges and builds long-term customer relationships. Additionally, you exhibit strong leadership by driving alignment, mentoring others, and fostering collaboration across teams.

Pay

This full-time position includes base pay and a target sales performance incentive, with a total compensation range of $167,250 to $245,300. Base salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
