Strategic Account Manager E-Commerce

About the role
The E-Commerce Lead will drive digital sales growth, profitability, and market share across all Ideal Electrical product categories sold through the e-commerce channel. This leader will manage both sales and channel strategy, create and build out the eCommerce strategy for IDEAL Electrical, and set the strategic direction for digital marketing, ad spend, SEO, and AEO capabilities. They will serve as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders to drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for all eCommerce accounts, including pure-play e-tailers (Amazon) and big-box .coms (THD.com), ensuring alignment with broader business goals and digital growth initiatives.
- Build out and execute the digital marketing strategy for the eCommerce channel.
- Guide product innovation strategy for the eCommerce channel, including packaging and pack size.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key retail partners and internal stakeholders to foster collaboration, trust, and long-term success.
- Own the channel marketing strategy, including G2MS, tactical marketing plans, and enforcement of MAP (Minimum Advertised Pricing Policy).
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and operations teams to develop and execute integrated sales strategies, product roadmaps, and promotional campaigns.
- Continuously assess and refine market coverage strategies to adapt to shifting consumer behaviors, competitive pressures, and emerging digital trends.
- Deliver actionable insights and strategic updates to senior leadership on market dynamics, customer performance, and competitive intelligence.
- Optimize product listings with compelling copy, images, and SEO best practices.
- Manage digital shelf presence across all platforms.
- Monitor KPIs such as conversion rates, traffic, average order value, and customer acquisition cost to inform conversion strategies.
- Leverage retargeting and personalization strategies to boost engagement with partners.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing eCommerce account management team, providing clear direction, daily operational oversight, and performance coaching.
- Communicate inventory and volume forecasting needs with demand planning and operations.
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented workplace, including other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business, or a related field. Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of sales or account management, primarily through eCommerce.
- Extensive experience working with direct eCommerce accounts such as Amazon, The Home Depot, and Lowe’s.
- Expertise in digital marketing, paid search, SEO, AEO, and Google Analytics.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel and BI.
- Proficiency in utilizing PIM systems and related technologies, such as master data management (MDM), data integration, and data transformation.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills. Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proven analytical and interpersonal skills, with a history of driving successful outcomes.
- Demonstrated success in delivering results in dynamic and competitive markets.
- Willingness to travel ~10%.
Pay
The expected annual salary for this position is between $124,560.00 and $167,849.00 and will be eligible for incentive pay. Actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, location, skills, training, and experience.
