Strategic Account Manager
About the role
The role involves owning and growing relationships with some of the largest global enterprises headquartered in the United States. These accounts are complex, multi-stakeholder organizations with global footprints, sophisticated buying committees, and long-term transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts, serving as the primary point of accountability for strategy, pipeline, and outcomes across complex sales cycles involving Tax, Finance, IT, Procurement, Legal, and Executive leadership.
- Drive net-new growth, renewals, and expansions across Sovos' global compliance platform by developing and executing multi-year account strategies for large, global enterprises.
- Build compelling business cases tied to regulatory risk, cost avoidance, operational efficiency, and transformation outcomes, positioning Sovos as a strategic partner and translating regulatory complexity into clear executive-level value.
- Guide customers through evolving global mandates (e-invoicing, continuous transaction controls, digital reporting) while running structured discovery, qualification, and close plans aligned to enterprise sales best practices.
- Lead cross-functional teams across Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Product, Marketing, and Partners, aligning global partner ecosystems where appropriate (ERP, systems integrators, compliance partners).
- Leverage AI-powered tools and platforms to enhance account planning, pipeline management, and customer engagement while forecasting accurately and managing pipeline with rigor.
- Engage Sovos executives when needed to advance strategic opportunities and maintain momentum across long-cycle, high-value deals.
