Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepares engineering analyses, plans, specifications, and cost estimates in support of flood risk management, coastal resilience, stormwater, and drainage infrastructure projects
- Develops and applies hydrologic, hydraulic, and hydrodynamic models, including 1D/2D riverine, urban drainage, interior basin, and coastal/tidal systems
- Performs numerical modelling and engineering calculations to evaluate flood risk, system capacity, pump and outfall performance, and mitigation alternatives under existing and future conditions
- Supports analyses related to storm surge, tidal flooding, rainfall-driven flooding, and sea level rise, including evaluation of phased and adaptive implementation approaches
- Prepares technical memoranda, reports, exhibits, figures, and presentation materials to document analyses and communicate findings to internal teams and public-sector clients
- Supports projects involving municipal, state, and federal agencies, including coordination with regulatory requirements related to floodplain management and coastal permitting
- Contributes to technical decision-making regarding feasibility, alternatives evaluation, cost considerations, and constructability
- Collaborates across offices to support project delivery and workshare execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred
- 5-10 years of experience
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) Certificate preferred
