Apex Companies is looking for a Stormwater Construction Foreman (Heavy equipment/Concrete) to play a key role in leading stormwater infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Construct and Repair Critical Stormwater Infrastructure: Work on essential underground utilities, concrete structures, and stormwater basins across the central states, ensuring communities are safe and resilient.
- Operate Advanced Construction Equipment: Utilize a range of tools, from hand-held and power tools to heavy machinery like skid loaders, excavators, and dozers, showcasing your technical expertise.
- Travel and Explore: Embrace the opportunity to travel during the week, exploring new locations while making a significant impact on various projects.
- Contribute to Project Success: Document field observations to aid in project success and drive continuous improvement, ensuring our projects are always top-notch.
- Prioritize Safety: Uphold the highest safety standards on every project, safeguarding yourself and your team at all times.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of underground wet utility construction experience is required.
- Prior experience with repair and construction of stormwater infrastructure, concrete structures, rebar and concrete finishing, underground piping, and detention/retention basins is required.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment (Skid Loader, Mini-Excavator, etc.).
- Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and staff.
- Ability to do frequent out-of-town regional travel (85% or more travel required).
Qualifications
- Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening.
- Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and a reliable method of transportation.
- Able to perform manual labor, lift and carry 60 pounds, work in confined spaces, and under inclement weather conditions.

Pay
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
Full-Time, 40-55 hours per week.
Regional Travel
Required, typically 85% or more through company vehicle. We provide $68 per diem on out-of-town travel days.
