Responsibilities
- Captures and coordinates maintenance, repair, and renovation of all stormwater projects.
- Operates various equipment such as chainsaws, weed eaters, earth compactors, vac trucks, excavators, and small dump trucks.
- Unclogs drainage systems using various equipment and vehicles.
- Cleans debris from drainage systems and checks for and repairs sinkholes.
- Inspects equipment and provides traffic control.
- Safeguards and supervises the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of stormwater-related equipment.
- Answers citizen and agency inquiries, providing information and referring complex questions to the Assistant Superintendent.
- Affords assistance in budget preparation and administration of the approved budget.
- Purchases materials, tools, and supplies as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two to four years of related experience.
- Maintains a valid state commercial driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.

- Must be able to perform physical labor and operate heavy machinery.
- Must have strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and staff.
- Must be able to lift and move heavy objects.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating various stormwater-related equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of stormwater management practices and regulations.
