Stormwater Foreman

Responsibilities

• Captures and coordinates maintenance, repair, and renovation of all stormwater projects.
• Operates various equipment such as chainsaws, weed eaters, earth compactors, vac trucks, excavators, and small dump trucks.
• Unclogs drainage systems using various equipment and vehicles.
• Cleans debris from drainage systems and checks for and repairs sinkholes.
• Inspects equipment and provides traffic control.
• Safeguards and supervises the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of stormwater-related equipment.
• Answers citizen and agency inquiries, providing information and referring complex questions to the Assistant Superintendent.
• Affords assistance in budget preparation and administration of the approved budget.
• Purchases materials, tools, and supplies as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two to four years of related experience.
• Maintains a valid state commercial driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.

• Must be able to perform physical labor and operate heavy machinery.
• Must have strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with the public and staff.
• Must be able to lift and move heavy objects.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of stormwater management practices and regulations.
