About the Role

The storekeeper position provides support to plant operations, maintenance, and crafts. Basic activities include receiving and inspection, shipping, distribution, delivery, pick-up, and loading/unloading supplies from and to common carriers, vendors, and contractors. Storekeepers use the Asset Suite system to receive, store, locate, and issue all inventory material in accordance with ANSI standards, SCSIs, and ASME requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, disburse, package, crate, and ship spare parts, store stock, tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Perform and/or assist in the inspection and testing of Quality Class materials.
  • Maintain quarantined areas for definition and separation of unacceptable items.
  • Maintain segregation by Quality Class or Storage Level Class.
  • Perform maintenance and preventive maintenance of stored items as required.
  • Operate power tools.
  • Maintain required records.
  • Operate required equipment (i.e., forklifts, hand trucks, vehicles, trucks).
  • Operate required office machines (i.e., adding/calculators and data system terminals).
  • Perform maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three years related industrial experience or equivalent military experience in industrial warehouse operations, storekeeping, receiving, shipping, storing, disbursing, or controlling of maintenance materials, items, or tooling.
  • Valid Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) or higher with HAZMAT endorsement (or obtainable within 6 months of start date).

Pay

This is a bargaining unit position and the hourly pay rate is $41.95.

Incentive Compensation

This role is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
