Store Sales Manager
The store manager leads Mattress Firm's vision, Company Initiatives, and achieves sales performance goals by holding associates accountable for the execution of in-store merchandising in multiple store units. In addition, leads selling programs and driving related KPI results in multiple store units and supports the omni-channel experience.

- Ensures teams always put the customer at the center and creates a compelling and engaging environment for MFRM team members.
- Develops associates' skills and performance, fostering a collaborative and motivated team dedicated to achieving success.
- Conducts one-on-one meetings to gain a deep understanding of team members' motivations and personal/professional aspirations.
- Develops a comprehensive team "bio book" that evolves to incorporate new insights and knowledge as it is gained.
- Conducts 30-60-90-day check-ins with new team members to discuss progress and opportunities.
- Manages workforce management activities such as store staffing schedules, punch reconciliation, and ensures compliance with company policies and state regulations.
- Communicates professionally and represents the company brand in all internal and external interactions.
- Follows company procedures for product transfers to ensure proper documentation of inventory.
- Plans strategically, analyzes company-provided reporting to determine appropriate staffing levels, and makes staffing level changes with leadership.
- Provides technical and product knowledge information to associates and customers, serves as a subject matter expert, and identifies skill gaps to address through coaching.
- Achieves or exceeds individual store financial targets through effective execution and customer service at the store level.
- Ensures store execution of product merchandising, marketing, and POP standards.
- Pitches in with marketing to plan, implement, and monitor assigned store's social media strategy to positively impact brand awareness and increase sales.
- Maintains awareness of competition, advertisements, and services offered, developing strategies to counter.

Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in retail, sales, or customer service is preferred. Must have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods of time.
