As a Retail Store Manager, you will oversee store operations, sales, and visual standards to ensure the effective implementation of retail programs and overall store success.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store tasks, including sales and back-of-house operations, ensuring sales objectives are met.
• Evaluate daily operations and initiate actions to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
• Hold yourself and staff accountable to IT’SUGAR’s Core Values and coach behaviors associated with them.
• Make staffing decisions, including hiring, training, task assignment, promotions, discipline, and termination.
• Foster a productive work environment through consistent coaching, training, and engagement of Sales Associates.
• Follow the SUGARTAINMENT customer engagement model: set the stage, welcome, engage, entertain, and thank customers.
• Maintain proficiency in product knowledge and promote safety for customers and associates.
• Recruit great talent by proactively networking and identifying candidates who align with IT’SUGAR’s core values.
• Interview, onboard, train, and coach Associates/Supervisors to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Achieve sales goals by following through on customer requests, suggesting additional products, and explaining benefits, features, and value.
• Establish a collaborative selling culture by training Associates/Supervisors in IT’SUGAR’s selling programs.
• Oversee operational standards, including pricing, signage, replenishment, plan-o-grams, shipping, receiving, and inventory accuracy.
• Manage store cash handling, records, reports, and opening/closing procedures while maintaining the allocated budget.
• Ensure the store follows visual guidelines and supports the brand image.
• Plan and set up special events and promotions.
• Maintain communication with Supervisors regarding product recommendations to increase sales and inventory.
• Understand and communicate Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures, escalating issues to HQ as needed.
• Embody and represent IT’SUGAR’s core values: positivity, playfulness, presence, and being a difference-maker.
• Display enthusiasm and optimism while fostering a team environment within the store.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of retail experience.
• Prior sales and management experience in a retail environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in using a POS/cash register.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Able to independently lift/move up to 25 lbs and lift/move up to 50 lbs with assistance.
