About the role
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and driving sales. This role involves managing a team, promoting the GameStop brand, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide best-in-class guest service
- Support the shopping environment
- Process guest purchases and returns
- Promote GameStop's guest benefits
- Hire, train, and retain associates
- Schedule and supervise staff
- Ensure store cleanliness and organization
- Manage inventory and fulfill orders
- Count and reconcile daily transactions
- Report injuries and maintain records
- Work collaboratively with military personnel (if applicable)
Qualifications
- Proof of eligibility to work in the US
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred
- At least 1 year of retail management experience
- At least 3 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred
- Video game knowledge preferred
