Store Manager in Training

Responsibilities

• Executes company merchandising programs and weekly sales plans in each department.
• Plans and executes weekly sales themes.
• Maintains in-stock conditions throughout the store.
• Conducts weekly sales meetings.
• Ensures desired levels of customer satisfaction, courtesy, and service.
• Achieves budgeted financial results.
• Protects company assets: merchandise, cash, facilities, and equipment.
• Conducts weekly manager audits on front-end, DSD receiving, and pricing.
• Follows through on shrink management programs.
• Controls store variable expenses, including achieving budgeted wage percent.
• Forecasts staffing needs, recruits, and trains employees.
• Develops and executes development plans for hi-potential and promotable individuals.
• Holds direct reports accountable to achieve budgeted results and reviews performance annually.
• Manages store conditions through frequent store walks.
• Trains and develops store management team, especially co-managers.
• Maintains sanitation and food safety standards.
• Creates a positive store atmosphere through supervisory treatment and recognition.
• Communicates effectively with District Manager, Support Staff, and store employees.
• Safeguards compliance with company standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Possess a bachelor's degree.
• Have 3-4 years of progressive supermarket management experience.
