Store Manager Candidate - Claysville, PA

About the Role

This position supports the Store Manager in key store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. It serves as a development platform for future Store Managers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, staffing, and training staff.
• Participate in merchandising, stocking, and store presentation.
• Support inventory management, including ordering, damages, markdowns, and stock audits.
• Ensure excellent customer service and store cleanliness.
• Follow safety, cash handling, and security procedures.
• Support store opening and closing activities.
• Review financial reports to identify trends and control expenses.
• Complete necessary documentation accurately and timely.
• Operate store in the absence of the Store Manager.

Requirements

• Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and procedures.
• Proficient in basic math and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, and safety policies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Problem-solving abilities in diverse situations.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred at some locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience is advantageous.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 lbs.
• Occasional use of ladders, driving, and exposure to outside weather.
• Fast-paced environment with moderate noise.
• Some travel required.
