Store Manager Candidate

About the role

Supports the Store Manager in implementing store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This position serves as a developmental role for future Store Managers, held temporarily to foster leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, staffing, and training staff.
• Participate in store merchandising, stocking, and presentation according to company standards.
• Support inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and stock counts.
• Ensure product availability by following proper ordering practices.
• Lead and model excellent customer service and adherence to company policies.
• Assist with store opening and closing activities, cash handling, and security procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked store environment.
• Review sales and operational data to identify business trends and opportunities.
• Complete necessary documentation accurately and timely.

Requirements

Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math. Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, and merchandising practices. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Problem-solving abilities and adaptability. Preferred high school diploma; retail experience advantageous. Bilingual skills may be preferred depending on location. Physical & Working Conditions: Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds. Occasional use of ladders, driving, and exposure to outdoor weather. Fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels. Some travel required.
