Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting in employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role involves implementing store processes, participating in recruitment, ensuring merchandise presentation, managing inventory accuracy, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety. The candidate acts as a temporary store leader, operating in the manager's absence, and reviews business trends to optimize sales and expenses.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, staffing, and training staff.
• Support store merchandising, stocking, and presentation.
• Manage inventory through proper procedures, damages, markdowns, and audits.
• Ensure in-stock levels meet targets via appropriate ordering.
• Deliver excellent customer service and uphold company policies.
• Participate in store opening/closing and financial procedures, including cash handling and security.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment.
• Analyze sales and operational data for business insights.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and procedures.
• Proficiency in basic math, cash handling, and inventory practices.
• Knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and security protocols.
• Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred for some locations.

Experience & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of retail experience is advantageous.

Physical & Work Conditions

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Use of equipment like scanners, carts, and ladders.
• Fast-paced environment with occasional outdoor exposure and travel.
