Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting with employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and store needs. This role involves participating in recruitment, stocking, and presentation of merchandise, managing inventory, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, staffing, and training employees.
• Facilitate merchandise staging, stocking, and proper presentation.
• Support inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and audits.
• Contribute to achieving in-stock targets through proper ordering practices.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a role model for policies and procedures.
• Participate in store opening and closing, ensure cash and security controls, and maintain a safe environment.
• Review operational data to identify sales trends, control expenses, and address shrinkage.
• Complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and procedures.
• Proficiency in mathematics, cash handling, and inventory practices.
• Knowledge of security, safety policies, and legal compliance in hiring and operations.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred bilingual skills (Spanish).

Experience & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience, especially external candidates, is advantageous.

Physical & Working Conditions

Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds. Use of equipment like scanners, carts, and ladders. Fast-paced environment with occasional outside weather exposure.
