The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting with employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role involves participating in recruiting, staging merchandise, executing inventory controls, and ensuring merchandise presentation aligns with company standards. The candidate helps maintain store safety, cleanliness, and financial integrity through cash handling, cash register operations, and adherence to security procedures. They analyze sales and operational data to identify business trends and opportunities for improvement. The position serves as a temporary developmental step toward becoming a Store Manager, with responsibilities including store opening and closing, paperwork completion, and operational oversight in the manager's absence.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory, and merchandising practices
- Cash handling, register, and financial controls knowledge
- Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Bilingual skills may be preferred depending on location
- High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience preferred
Requirements
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting (up to 55 pounds)
- Use of equipment like scanners, carts, and ladders
- Fast-paced setting with moderate noise; occasional outdoor exposure
- Some travel with limited overnight stays
