Store Manager Candidate

About the role

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations and is groomed for future store leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in recruiting, staffing, and employee development.
• Participating in store merchandising, stocking, and inventory management to meet in-stock and presentation standards.
• Supporting inventory processes, damages, markdowns, and proper documentation.
• Ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company policies.
• Managing store opening and closing activities, cash handling, and safeguarding funds.
• Maintaining a clean, safe environment and operating the store in the manager’s absence.
• Analyzing sales, labor, and inventory data to identify trends and control expenses.
• Completing all required paperwork accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and procedures.
• Proficiency in basic math, cash handling, and POS systems.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, and safety practices.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in retail preferred; high school diploma or equivalent recommended.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred at some locations.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.
• Occasional climbing and driving required.
• Fast-paced environment with moderate noise and potential exposure to weather.
• Some travel involved.
