Store Manager Candidate

About the role

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting with employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role serves as a development platform for future store managers and involves helping implement store processes effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, staffing, and training employees.
• Support store merchandising, stocking, and presentation according to company standards.
• Help manage inventory, including damages, markdowns, and stock levels.
• Contribute to order placement to meet stock and sales goals.
• Deliver excellent customer service and act as a role model for store policies and procedures.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities, ensuring financial and safety controls.
• Review sales, labor, and inventory data to identify business trends and opportunities.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong reading, mathematical, and cash handling skills.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, and safety procedures.
• Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred for some locations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience preferred.

Physical & Work Environment

Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds. Occasional ladder use, driving, and exposure to outside weather are required. The environment is fast-paced with moderate noise levels.
