About the role

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting with employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This limited‑duration role prepares individuals for the Store Manager position, emphasizing leadership development and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, staffing, and training staff to ensure a qualified team.
• Participate in store merchandising, stocking, and presentation according to company standards.
• Support inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and stock counts.
• Ensure proper cash handling, cashier accountability, and security procedures.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organized store environment.
• Contribute to achieving sales goals and controlling expenses by reviewing operational metrics.
• Assist with store opening and closing procedures, and support financial and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; retail experience beneficial.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret documents, perform basic math, and learn store systems.
• Knowledge of inventory practices, cash handling, and safety policies.
• Ability to solve problems, adapt to varied situations, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred depending on location.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Use of equipment such as scanners, carts, and ladders.
• Occasional outdoor exposure and travel required.
• Fast‑paced setting with moderate noise levels.
