About the role

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting with employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role involves implementing store processes, maintaining safety and security, and ensuring store cleanliness and organization. It also includes participating in opening and closing activities, managing cash and financials, and analyzing sales and inventory data to identify business trends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, staffing, and training employees.
• Support merchandising efforts, stocking, and presentation of products.
• Manage inventory, damages, markdowns, and conduct stock audits.
• Ensure proper cash handling, cashier accountability, and store security.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked store environment.
• Operate the store in the manager's absence and oversee daily operations.
• Review sales and expense reports to identify opportunities and trends.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.

Requirements

• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, and merchandising practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to varied situations.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred at some locations.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience is advantageous.
• Frequent standing, bending, lifting up to 55 pounds, and occasional ladder use.
• The environment is fast-paced, with moderate noise, and may involve outdoor weather conditions and limited travel.
