Store Manager Candidate

About the role

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting with employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and store needs. This position aims to develop external candidates for future store management roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, staffing, and training employees.
• Support store merchandising, stocking, and presentation according to company standards.
• Participate in inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Ensure product availability by following ordering practices.
• Deliver excellent customer service and act as a role model for company policies.
• Assist with store opening and closing activities, cash handling, and security practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Operate the store in the absence of the manager and review financial performance.
• Complete necessary documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, and merchandising practices.
• Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in retail and familiarity with hiring and compliance practices preferred.
• Bilingual skills may be advantageous in some locations.

Physical & Working Conditions

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds. Occasional climbing, driving, and exposure to outdoor weather. Fast-paced environment with moderate noise level.
