Store Manager Candidate

About the role

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting with employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role involves participating in recruiting, staging merchandise, managing inventory, ensuring store safety, and maintaining financial integrity through cash handling and security practices. The position also includes reviewing sales and expense trends, completing paperwork, and operating the store in the manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, staffing, and training staff.
• Help with store merchandising, stocking, and inventory procedures.
• Ensure customer service excellence and store safety.
• Support financial controls, cash management, and security.
• Review operational data to identify business opportunities.
• Participate in store opening/closing and administrative tasks.

Requirements

Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 40-55 pounds, and occasional use of ladders or driving. Fast-paced environment with exposure to outdoor weather at times. Some travel may be required, with limited overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail preferred; high school diploma or equivalent recommended.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred at some locations.
