Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview

The Store Manager Candidate supports the Store Manager in executing store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role serves as a developmental step toward becoming a Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, staffing, and training staff.
• Participate in merchandising, stocking, and store presentation.
• Support inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and audits.
• Help ensure product availability through proper ordering.
• Deliver excellent customer service and act as a role model for company policies.
• Contribute to store opening/closing, cash handling, and safety procedures.
• Monitor store performance through sales, labor, and inventory analysis.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong reading, math, and cash handling abilities.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, and safety policies.
• Effective communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred for some locations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience preferred.

Physical & Work Environment

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Occasional climbing, driving, and exposure to outside weather.
• Fast‑paced environment with moderate noise; requires some travel.
