Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting in employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and store needs. This limited-term position focuses on developing external candidates for future store management roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, staffing, and training employees.
• Support store merchandising, stocking, and presentation.
• Participate in inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and stock counts.
• Help maintain in-stock levels through proper ordering practices.
• Provide exceptional customer service and model company policies.
• Assist in store opening and closing, cash handling, and security procedures.
• Ensure a clean, safe environment for staff and customers.
• Review operational data to identify trends and control costs.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret safety and operational documents.
• Strong math skills and knowledge of cash handling, inventory, and merchandising practices.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving abilities with limited standardization.
• Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish; high school diploma or equivalent; retail experience.

Physical & Working Conditions

The role involves frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 40-55 pounds, occasional climbing, and driving between store locations. It requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment, moderate noise levels, and some travel.
