Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting with employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role fosters development of external candidates for the Store Manager position and involves hands-on participation in daily store activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, staffing, and onboarding new team members.
• Support merchandising efforts, including staging, stocking, and signage according to store standards.
• Help manage inventory, conduct audits, and execute proper ordering practices to meet stock targets.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and act as a role model for company policies and procedures.
• Participate in store opening and closing routines, ensuring security and accurate cash handling.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment for customers and staff.
• Review sales and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret safety and operational manuals, perform mathematical calculations, and learn cash register functions.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, cash handling, and safety policies.
• Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish; high school diploma or equivalent; retail experience is advantageous.

Physical & Work Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Use of merchandise handling equipment and occasional ladder use.
• Fast-paced environment with moderate noise, occasional outdoor exposure, and travel requirements.
