Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations, focusing on employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role serves as a developmental step toward becoming a Store Manager, with responsibilities to assist in daily store functions and leadership.

Key Duties

• Assist with recruiting, staffing, and onboarding new employees.
• Participate in merchandising, stocking, and presentation of products.
• Support inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and stock counts.
• Ensure product availability by following proper ordering practices.
• Lead in delivering excellent customer service.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Manage store opening and closing activities, including cash handling and security.
• Monitor store performance through sales, inventory, and expense analysis.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; retail experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory control, and safety procedures.
• Ability to solve problems and adapt to various situations.
• Preference for bilingual Spanish speakers in some locations.

Physical & Work Environment

Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 55 pounds, and occasional climbing or driving. The environment is fast-paced with moderate noise, and some outdoor exposure may occur.
