Store Manager Candidate

About the role

The Store Manager Candidate supports the Store Manager in overseeing store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This position prepares candidates for future store management roles through interactive development and limited-term responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, staffing, and employee onboarding
• Participate in merchandising, stocking, and presentation of products
• Manage inventory processes, including damages, markdowns, and stock levels
• Ensure exceptional customer service and store safety
• Oversee store opening, closing, and cash handling procedures
• Review sales and expense reports to identify trends and opportunities
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely

Requirements

• Alignment with company values and fostering teamwork
• Supporting staff development and store compliance
• Frequent walking, standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment
• Occasional outdoor work, ladder use, and travel for store visits and meetings

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• At least one year of retail experience is advantageous
• Preferred: Bilingual Spanish speakers and retail experience

Skills

• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math calculations
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, and merchandising practices
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to varied situations
