About the role

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations, focusing on employee supervision, staffing, inventory, merchandising, customer service, and safety. This role involves assisting with recruiting, stocking, inventory management, and ensuring store standards align with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in staffing, recruiting, and training employees.
• Supporting merchandising efforts, including stocking and presentation.
• Managing inventory, damages, markdowns, and conducting inventories.
• Ensuring merchandise availability and proper store signage.
• Delivering excellent customer service and acting as a role model for store policies.
• Participating in store opening and closing activities, maintaining security, and handling cash procedures.
• Maintaining a clean, safe environment and operating the store in the manager’s absence.
• Reviewing financial statements to monitor sales, expenses, and inventory trends.
• Completing all required documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret documents, perform basic math, and learn cash register functions.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, cash handling, and safety policies.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Preferred high school diploma; retail experience is advantageous.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred in some locations.

Work Environment

The role involves frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 55 pounds, and occasional use of ladders and driving. It requires adaptability to a fast-paced setting with moderate noise and possible exposure to outside weather. Some travel is involved, with limited overnight stays.
