Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations, focusing on employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role involves assisting in recruitment, ensuring merchandise presentation, managing inventory, and maintaining store safety and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with staffing, recruitment, and training of store personnel.
• Support merchandising efforts, including stocking, signing, and pricing products.
• Participate in inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and stock counts.
• Ensure in-stock levels meet or exceed targets through proper ordering practices.
• Lead customer service initiatives and act as a role model for company policies and procedures.
• Contribute to store opening and closing activities, and safeguard company funds.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and operate the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Analyze operational data to identify sales trends, control expenses, and reduce shrinkage.
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory practices, and safety policies.
• Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred experience in retail environments and familiarity with recruiting and legal compliance.
• Certain locations may favor bilingual Spanish speakers.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Occasional climbing, driving, and exposure to outside weather.
• The environment is fast-paced with moderate noise.
