Store Manager Candidate

About the role

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting with employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role serves as a development pathway for future store managers and involves participating in store opening and closing activities, ensuring store cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency. The role emphasizes supporting store operations, developing staff, and ensuring excellent customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, staffing, and training employees.
• Participate in merchandising, stocking, and presentation of products.
• Support inventory management, including damage control, markdowns, and stock audits.
• Help maintain store safety, security, and cash handling procedures.
• Monitor sales, expenses, and inventory trends through operating statements.
• Ensure excellent customer service and uphold company policies and procedures.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; retail experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, cash handling, and safety protocols.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred at some locations.

Physical & Working Conditions

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds. Occasional use of ladders, driving, and exposure to outside weather. Fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels. Note: Some travel and limited overnight stays may be required.
