Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview

The Store Manager Candidate supports the Store Manager in executing store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This position is intended for developing future Store Managers and is held temporarily.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, staffing, and employee development
• Facilitate merchandise presentation, stocking, and storage
• Manage inventory, including damages, markdowns, and stock accuracy
• Ensure in-stock levels and proper ordering practices
• Lead customer service excellence and store cleanliness
• Support cash handling, security, and financial integrity
• Participate in opening and closing store activities
• Monitor business trends via operating statements for sales, labor, and profitability
• Complete all required documentation timely
• Operate store in manager's absence and maintain safety protocols

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret documents and perform basic math
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, merchandising, and safety policies
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to various situations
• Preferred bilingual skills in Spanish at some locations

Experience & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum one year retail experience preferred
